KUALA LUMPUR: Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Malaysia (BAA), in collaboration with Riding Pink, Malaysia’s first women-only ride sharing service, will give away 10 free rides home this Raya season to 10 lucky female Malaysians celebrating Aidilfitri.
The campaign follows the success of BAA and Riding Pink’s previous campaign, ‘One Wrong Part Ruins Everything’ vehicle safety campaign that was launched in April.
BAA, in a statement today said one festive free ride for Alor Star, Penang, Ipoh, Taiping, Kuala Kangsar, Port Dickson, Seremban, Melaka, Muar and Kuantan are up for grabs.
Each winner will be allowed to travel with two additional female guests and qualifying details can be found on Riding Pink’s Facebook page.
Meanwhile, on the previous campaign, Riding Pink founder Denise Tan said 40 female participants, half of which are Riding Pink drivers, were taught a basic vehicle maintenance routine.
“Compared to men, women tend to be unfamiliar with basic car maintenance. Less than half have ever changed a tyre, and many said they do not know how to,” she said.
BAA country manager Pang Yoon Kong said Bosch understood the struggles faced by female drivers, or any driver regardless of their gender.
“The workshop is the perfect jumpstart to understanding what goes on under the hood of their cars.
“This supports Riding Pink’s initiative of empowering women and recognising them as key decision makers even behind the wheel,” he said.
